Aberdeen Angus Beef
And Dorset Lamb

The Harrison Family have been livestock farming in Knaptoft since 1971 and has been Farm Assured since 2000.
Our herd of pedigree Aberdeen Angus cattle was established in 2001. Aberdeen Angus is a well known beef breed, noted for its meat quality, natural marbeling, texture and flavour. Our calves stay with their mothers until weaned at 8 months old and our cattle and lambs are fed on our prime Leicestershire grassland, hay and silage. The diet is supplemented with our own GM free cereal mix produced mainly from our home grown crops.
Our pedigree sheep are Dorsets (a traditional British breed). Lambs are born throughout the year and remain outside in the grass fields, This ensures the meat is always tender all year round.
Stock is selected from our herd and taken just 6 miles to the abattoir and carcasses are delivered back to us for maturing. Beef is kept in our hanging room for at least 3 weeks prior to cutting. This ensures the best flavour and tenderness.
The meat is then prepared by Rob Harrison who is a qualified professional butcher with years of experience.
Our premises have been converted to the highest standard, stainless steel used wherever possible, with hygiene being the utmost importance. We have been awarded 3 out of 3 stars by Market Harborough environmental health dep’t.
